SAR-BLITZ Black oxide

The oxide pickling agent Blitz is a sulphurous solution, which is especially suitable for silver and silver-plated objects
for antique staining.
In addition, it achieves good coloring in new silver (alpaca), brass, tombac and copper objects.

When the coloring in silver and neo-silver objects turns from blue-dark gray to blue-black, the color tone in copper objects is brown, granite gray or jet black, depending on the post-processing. With brass and tombak, the tinting is from brown to gray-black.
For silver, copper and alloys with a strong copper content, coloring can be used directly, while for copper alloys with a stronger zinc content, only together with an acidified copper sulfate solution.
